CEREC

At Monterey Peninsula Dental Group, we’re proud to use state of the art CEREC equipment to streamline a number of our treatments. Our skilled dentists create custom crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays and dental implants using this technology. Using CEREC allows us to create replacement teeth and custom cosmetic application without the time-consuming process of sending impressions off to a lab. This technology helps us provide a more comfortable and convenient treatment to the patient.

Orthophos Imaging

We use Orthophos imaging technology to help create digital x-rays for our patients. Unlike traditional x-rays which needed to develop, the digital x-rays we can create with the Orthophos machine appear instantly on our dentists’ computer screens, reducing the amount of time patients need to spend in the office. The digital x-rays we produce are also clearer than traditional exposures, making them easier to interpret and improving the quality of care we can deliver. Othophos imaging also carries the benefit of reduced radiation exposure for the patient, making this technology safer and superior to others.

Fotona Lasers

MPDG uses the best in laser technology for a number of applications. We use Fotona’s LightWalker and Nightlase lasers to help widen the airways of our patients as a part of a cutting-edge sleep apnea treatment we offer in our office.

We also use these lasers during many other dental procedures, as they reduce healing time and are more comfortable for the patient.

Periolase LANAP Lasers

Many patients avoid treating their periodontal disease out of fear of invasive procedures, but Monterey Peninsula Dental Group uses the latest in laser technology to treat periodontal disease effectively and comfortably. We use a Periolase laser to remove diseased tissue and promote the healing and new attachment of the gums without the need for cutting or stitching. The advanced Periolase laser we use allows our dentists to perform LANAP Laser Assisted Regeneration, which is more comfortable and effective for patients receiving our periodontal services.

iTero Scanner & OrthoCAD Services

We use state of the art iTero scanners when taking scans of patients’ dentition for use in applications like Invisalign, crowns, bridges and implants. The intraoral scanners we use take images at 6,000 frames per second to create personalized 3D imaging of a patient’s teeth. This technology improves our ability to mill custom dental applications and Invisalign aligners that match up perfectly with your teeth, providing a more comfortable and effective treatment.

Invisalign

Monterey Peninsula Dental Group is proud to be a preferred Invisalign provider. We’ve helped patients achieve straighter smiles without the aesthetic issues of traditional braces using the Invisalign teeth straightening system. We use iTero scans in all of our Invisalign treatments, enabling us to create aligners that fit better and streamline your treatment.
