Infection Control
We believe that a safe dental practice is the cornerstone for building trust. At Monterey Peninsula Dental Group, we put huge emphasis on infection control and precautions to protect our patients and our team. Our dentists strictly follow procedures recommended by several trusted federal agencies, including the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
These measures include:
- Disinfectant hand soap
- Gloves and face masks
- Chemical disinfection of countertops and surfaces
- Sterilization of all equipment before every use
- Disposable materials
All of our reusable equipment, including dental hand pieces, are thoroughly sterilized by an autoclave, a special sterilization device which kills bacteria and viruses through steam, heat and pressure.
The best defense against any disease is staying informed, so you can make smart and educated decisions when it comes to your dental health. If you have any questions or concerns regarding infection control, our daily procedures or our policies, don’t hesitate to approach our dental team. We assure you that we’ll provide you with an honest and satisfying answer, so you can feel comfortable and at ease when visiting our dental office.

Dr. Falkel is an outstanding practitioner. The procedure was remarkably easy and I felt absolutely no pain. Yesterday evening, at 9 PM, Dr. Falkel called me at home to make sure that I was doing fine. I think he goes well beyond what one would expect.

It's so nice to be back in Carmel Valley after a five year absence and back to MPDG and the excellent care of Dr. Falkel. It is always a professional, caring experience.

I so appreciate the service I receive when I go to Dr. Lehr's Office for my checkups. I think the practice as a whole is much improved by technology and process improvements.
