Dr. Landon attended UCLA as an undergraduate. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UCLA in 1974. In 1975, he completed a General Practice Residency at Wadsworth Veterans Administration Hospital. He became an associate of the Monterey Peninsula Dental Group in 1975, and a partner in the Group in 1976.

Dr. Landon is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association and the Monterey Bay Dental Society. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences.

Dr. Landon is nationally recognized for his work in forensic dentistry. He was president of the Monterey Bay Dental Society from 1990 to 1991. He also served as chairman of the Monterey Bay Dental Society Peer Review Committee for five years. His interests are snow skiing, fine dining and wine, and he is a car enthusiast. He also has a son, Taylor who is a dentist in the United States Navy.

For over thirty years, Dr. Landon has been active in providing dental care to many people with mental and or physical disabilities. He has been on the medical staff of the Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula since 1975. He has treated many patients over the years in the operating room under general anesthesia.

Dr. Landon has also been very active with International Health Emmissaries. This group was founded by Dr. John Faia III, and Dr. Mark Bayless. The group has travelled to many third world countries to provide dental care to the poverty stricken inhabitants of small remote villages. Dr. Landon has provided dental treatment in Guatemala, Honduras, Ecuador, Peru and Argentina.

Dr. Landon provides sedation dentistry for apprehensive/phobic patients. He has also undergone extensive education in the treatment of patients who suffer from sleep disordered breathing; from snoring to obstructive sleep apnea.
